2024 Year in Review

2024 Year in Review

We celebrated a year packed with milestones, unforgettable moments, and growth across the board. From breaking participation records to hosting incredible events, NFL FLAG continues to make waves in youth sports. Here’s a look back at all we accomplished together in 2024.

Reaching New Heights

NFL FLAG continues to thrive, welcoming an incredible 767,516 youth athletes into our family this year—a true testament to the surging popularity of flag football. With over 2,500 leagues spanning 49 states and Canada, and an impressive 59 events hosted, NFL FLAG is cementing its place as a cornerstone of youth sports across North America.

Favorite Moments

2024 brought us unforgettable moments, including:

  • The Olympic Announcement: Flag football’s inclusion in the Olympics was a monumental milestone, cementing its global growth and giving young athletes even bigger dreams to chase.

  • NFL FLAG Summit: Leaders from across the flag football community gathered in Dallas for the 2024 NFL FLAG Summit, where we shared ideas, celebrated successes, and planned for an even brighter future.

  • Prince William's Visit: A royal highlight of the year, Prince William joined an NFL FLAG Foundation UK event and tested out his flag football skills.

Championships and Regional Tournaments

NFL FLAG’s competitions were better than ever this year. The new Regional Tournament Circuit drew over 800 teams, representing all 32 NFL clubs. This paved the way for our first-ever televised championship at the Pro Football Hall of Fame, a groundbreaking event that aired on ESPN, NFL+, and Disney+.

Coach of the Year

This year, we celebrated outstanding leadership and dedication from our coaches, who are instrumental in shaping young athletes’ experiences.

  • 18u Girls: Coach Ralph Graham (GSA, FL)
