The inaugural NFL FLAG High School Girls Showcase presented by Visa was played at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The game featured 30 of the top senior high school athletes from teams ranked in the USA TODAY Super 25 from 10 states who offer varsity girls flag football as an officially sanctioned sport. The athletes were divided into AFC and NFC teams, determined by NFL Clubs who supported flag football in their states, and each team had two coaches from the top schools in the rankings.

In partnership with the NFL, USA TODAY Sports launched the Super 25 Girls Flag Football High School Poll, ranking the top 25 girls flag football teams around the U.S.

Players from top-ranked teams are competing in the inaugural NFL FLAG Girls High School Showcase at Pro Bowl Games in Orlando on February 2, 2025!

NFL FLAG Way to Play Award

As part of the NFL Way to Play Awards fueled by Gatorade, the NFL is recognizing one NFL FLAG player, ages 8-17, each week for demonstrating proper playing technique.

Mastering technique and developing good habits at the NFL FLAG level prepares players to excel in flag football or transition smoothly to tackle. Players are evaluated on flag pulling, rushing, footwork, discipline, and vision.

Week 18: Kingston Duarte

Congratulations to our final NFL FLAG Way to Play Player of the Week, Kingston Duarte! Watch how Kingston looks to pass the ball and immediately says, "Nah, I’ll just do it myself!" He weaves through traffic and the defense can’t catch him. That's the Way to Play!

My experience with flag football has been amazingly positive. I have seen flag football change lives for scholar athletes. It offers diversity in life and builds character.
