“NFL FLAG 50” is a fun, inspiring tribute to the evolution of girls high school sports and the momentum that girls flag football is gaining as an official high school varsity sport throughout the country.

 

The inaugural NFL FLAG High School Girls Showcase presented by Visa was played at the 2025 Pro Bowl Games at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The game featured 30 of the top senior high school athletes from teams ranked in the USA TODAY Super 25 from 10 states who offer varsity girls flag football.

 

In partnership with the NFL, USA TODAY Sports launched the Super 25 Girls Flag Football High School Poll, ranking the top 25 girls flag football teams around the U.S.

This summer, NFL FLAG Championships Presented by Toyota will return to Canton, Ohio, on July 17-20, 2025. As the world’s premier youth flag football tournament, this year’s event will feature girls and boys from NFL FLAG Regional Tournaments hosted by all 32 NFL Clubs.

My experience with flag football has been amazingly positive. I have seen flag football change lives for scholar athletes. It offers diversity in life and builds character.
