A turnkey approach to help America’s Physical Education teachers build a foundation of healthy, lifelong physical activity for their students.
To support high quality physical education and grow opportunities for students to be active before, during and after school, GENYOUth developed NFL FLAG-In-School: a turnkey approach to help America’s Physical Education teachers build a foundation of healthy, lifelong physical activity for their students.
Since 2014, over 37,000 NFL FLAG-In-School kits have helped 16M students get active.
This program is made possible thanks to the unwavering commitment of the NFL, NFL Foundation and other leaders in the physical activity space with the shared goal of providing ALL students the opportunity to “Play 60” while introducing them to the fast-paced fun of NFL FLAG.
FLAG-IN-SCHOOL VIDEOS: 30 new YouTube videos will teach students the fundamentals of flag football, with each lesson closing with a nutrition tip of the day from an informational resource created by Midwest Dairy and SHAPE America.
In these videos, former NFL player Lorenzo Alexander walks through each drill step-by-step and provides coaching tips to help your students improve their new football skills.
We recommend reading through each lesson, watching the videos, and scanning the nutrition tips ahead of time to best prepare your class and set everyone—including you—up for success. It might also be helpful to show your students the diagrams or videos before running each drill.
Making an Impact:
Since launching in 2014, 16 million students have become more active before, during and after school through NFL FLAG-In-School
98% of teachers use the kits in their PE classes
NFL FLAG-In-Schools increases PE teachers’ confidence and ability to teach/coach flag football
Adopted by the Nevada Department of Education as the official football curriculum for every school in the state
To strengthen knowledge and insights regarding the utilization of kits in school communities and its impact related to the NFL FLAG-In-School program, GENYOUth has produced a summary report consisting of findings and analysis of data. Click this link for the full report
